Background: A nerdy recluse, obsessed with technology and conspiracy theory, Darren spent most of his time trolling the deep web in a superhero persona and launching covert cyber attacks before eventually being targeted by the the secret government. While on a trip to Washington with his folks, a suspicious domestic terrorist attack bombed the area of their tour bus, killing the passengers, Darren’s parents among them. During the chaos, Darren was abducted by the criminal organization, TALON, and cybernetically enhanced to serve them. Believed dead, and his parents deceased, no one questioned his whereabouts. After quickly mastering his new abilities, Darren stole files documenting Talon’s activities and experiments, and attempted to erase his trail, heading back to New York.

Powers: A portion of Decker’s frontal lobe has been replaced with a processing unit he uses to connect to the deep web. Once online Decker can send his mind into cyberspace where he assumes the persona of a superhero while hacking.

Background: Lionheart is the field leader for the British government-run super team, Chimera. He does not address rumors that he is descendant of Richard the 3rd, hence his namesake, though there are spotty records of Lionheart’s existence dating as far back as 15th century France, leading some to question his English heritage. Whatever his true origin, Lionheart holds the deepest trust of the Crown and is tasked with training Princes William and Henry, as well as the young Black Prince.

Abilities: A creature of mystical origin, Lionheart possesses incredible strength, speed and formidable hand to hand combat and weapon handling skills, favoring his mace. Lionheart can fly and has enhanced senses including heightened senses of smell and vision.

Background: A millennia ago, The Hunger, an alien hive on a path of destruction throughout the universe, was intercepted on its course to Earth by a selfless alien race. Sacrificing themselves in an effort to stop the genocide, the natives of Gamma 13 forgave their world, their lives, and their autonomy, to inhabit the vessel known as Gammahawk. The Gammahawk vessel had landed on Earth many years prior to The Hunger’s expected arrival in order to prepare for the coming battle. When a redshift forced a temporal displacement, leveling a government facility, Gammahawk was transported to the near future where he encountered the peace-keeping force, The United. Now working with The United, Gammahawk seeks to locate and eradicate The Hunger before it destroys this planet as it did his own.

Powers: Gammahawk represents the combined will of 40,000 souls. A being of pure gamma energy, and the embodiment of his entire race, the Gammahawk vessel is incredibly fast, durable, operates in the most adverse environments, and can manipulate itself to generate a protective field or emit powerful blasts.

Background: Supermodel Jackie Mae’s metagene activated during a Paris Fashion Week show, elevating her celebrity status to new heights. Following the incident, the French government sought her out to join a new, international peacekeeping group that would be operated by the United Nations. Given her previous life as a fashion and reality star, Opal is one of the more popular members of the UN super team, The United. Opal is second in command of The United behind Legacy.

Abilities: Opal’s chemical structure resembles that of the stone of the same name but there are several key differences which explain some of her abilities. Her makeup contains more microcrystalline quartz, and while phosphorous, is much more dense and physically resistant. She also can emit energy beams by defracting light at various wavelengths and maintains the same proportion of water of standard opal, allowing her to project crystal mineraloids that can harden around subjects.

Background: A senior at Huntington Prep, Hunter is team leader of the young heroes calling themselves Dragonfire, named after his former master. Witness to the murders of both his mentor Dragonfire and best friend Shadowmask at the hands of Talon, Hunter has sworn revenge.

Hunter had founded the team when teammate Essence discovered he and fellow classmates Eastern Star and Momentum had meta-abilities. When Darren Dobson, also known as Decker, was discovered half alive after an attack by one of Talon’s cybernetic mercenaries, Hunter brought him into the fold to help him stop Talon and protect the biogenetic virus data stored in Decker’s cybernetic implants from falling into the wrong hands.

Powers: Through his martial arts training under the tutelage of Dragonfire, Hunter has focused his Chi providing him with enhanced reflexes, vision, speed, and healing abilities. He is a martial arts and weapons master, primarily using bow, nunchakus, and katana.

In late 5th century Scandinavia, Beowulf, a mighty warrior-king, destroyed Grendel and his Mother before falling to the might of a Red Dragon. Beowulf and the Grendel have recently reemerged, operating from under the Seine River in Paris, France and leading an army of creatures resembling the younger Grendel. How Beowulf or the monster have returned, and why they are together, is still unknown.
