Background: Ryan and several other children were raised in a Talon laboratory, scientific Guinea pigs for Talon's DNA experiments in search of developing super-powered mercenaries. Witness to the deaths of the children around him, at the hands of the scientists caring for them, Ryan learned To have little respect for human life.
